Where can I get boxes for packing?

How much can I store?

Using our self storage service in Warwickshire, one container unit will hold the contents of an average 3 bedroom house. How much you actually get in will vary on how much property you have and how bulky the items are and whether you have the contents of your loft and garden shed as well. Also, if you pack carefully (for example filling a wardrobe and fridge with other items) you'll get a lot more in. A professional removal company team can often pack a third more in a container than self movers! But don't panic - if you fill a container you can always spill over into a second unit - we've 20 footers and 10 footers available.

Our brand new container units, which are 20ft x 8ft externally, have the following internal dimensions:

• 150 square feet or 1150 cubic feet
• 19'4" length, 7'9" width, 7'9" height.
• door opening is 7'8" wide and 7'6" high.

For business customers, each unit will hold 400 standard archive boxes.

Our 10 foot units are 75 square feet or 561 cubic feet, and internal dimensions are the same as the 20 footers except that they are only 9'6" in length.

What can I store?

Items regularly stored using our low cost self storage service include:

Household furniture (house moves, downsizing, storage whilst decorating/renovating). The 'House Doctor' always says you need to remove clutter if you want to make your house attactive to potential buyers. So, why not store anything you don't use regularly? As well as making your house look more spacious to potential buyers, it will make moving day easier because you won't have the pressure to move everything at once, which could save you money on removal costs.

Second-hand household appliances collected prior to export. Traders buying used cookers, fridges and tv's can store the items until they have a container full. They then transfer them to a shipping container for export to third world countries.

Retail and wholesale business stocks Our container units are ideal for holding excess stocks, whether seasonal stocks or imported goods held prior to distribution to retail branches.

Trade items. Local tradespeople store spare tools, materials and parts. Customers can include aerial fitters, builders, plumbers, electricians. They know they can access their items as required 24/7.

Property investors Handy for storing materials used for property refurbishment, or for collecting together all the items needed for a fully furnished let.

Archive storage Business customers store archived files and paperwork that has to be retained.

Cars and boats Container units are just right for storing classic cars, sports cars that are better off inside for winter months, cars prepared for sale, and also make an ideal undercover 'mooring' for small trailered boats

Midlands base for stock distribution Ideal for franchisees and van-based salesmen, stock can be delivered to the container and can be picked-off as and when required by the local salesman.

'Loft storage' The trendy solution for apartment dwellers is to hire storage to use as a 'loft'.

Airport cargo, import/export storage We are excellently located close to Birmingham Airport and offer an excellent flexible and cost effective storage solution for export cargo awaiting clearance and import cargo that has cleared customs. We are only half an hour from Coventry (Bagington) Airport, and are close to the M42 for the half hour journey to East Midlands Airport (EMA). We can even collect and deliver for you.

An often made mistake... People think they won't need a  container so they rent a smaller storage room. They spend a couple of hours trolleying their house contents or whatever to their storage room on the third floor of the storage facility and then realise that they don't have enough space. They then rent a second room, so they are now paying well in excess of the cost of renting a container. Alternatively, we get a panic phone call at six o'clock in the evening asking if we have any containers available immediately. (We'll always pull out all the stops to help). So, the moral of this tale is that it's better to have a bit more space than you think you need rather than finding that you have a full storage room and you still have half a Transit-load!
